Wow!!! It's been a long time since I posted please forgive me for neglecting my blog. I have been so busy with orders and getting ready for my upcoming shows. I've got a few blog posts planned so I'm going to try my best to do better about posting. Thank ya'll for sticking with me.
This past weekend my husband and I went to a local festival called Colonial Times and we had so much fun. It was a reenactment show and I was very impressed with how authentic it was. I took a ton of pictures so hang in there it's a long post.
This is the entrance to the park
The following pictures are the actors in their colonial attire.
Here are some of the awesome display tents they had set up with some very talented artisans.
Check out all of these hand carved spoons and trencher bowls!!!
This was their bakery.
The local tavern.
These colonial outfits we're absolutely amazing!!!
I told ya'll this was going to be a long post!!! Thank you so much for sticking with me. I hope you enjoyed all the pictures. It was a great weekend and the weather was perfect!!! I'll be back soon with a post about some fun swaps and some great purchases I made from some of my blogging buddies. Hope ya'll have a great week!!!

Hey There Dana!!
ReplyDeleteOh looks like you had a great weekend! Loved all the pics. I must say the trenchers were my favorite! Glad you had great weather for it. Where I live(just outside of Gettysburg) there are tons of shops with lots of re-enactment clothing...supplies, etc. and there is always something like this going on.....it's great getting to know this type of history being that we all love the "prim-life" so much!
Thanks for sharing your fun weekend with us.
Have a great day girlie!
Hugs to you!
Lori
What Fun can this be, would love to attend something like this; and, with beautiful weather too.
ReplyDeleteAll that woodware...the TRENCHERS are my favorite too. But, Lori, keep you hands off the dark trencher...it's MINEEEEEE(singing).
As a child...I loved dress and play. We called it PLAY-PLAYING.

WOW!!!! I would have loved to be there!!!! I just love the dresses from those days! And those trenchers...........WOW WOW WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots of fun! I love to see them decked out in those dresses and other costumes but my favorite is to watch them work with their hands. It's so fascinating to watch. What wonderful wares they had for sale! Most places like this have steep prices, but it would be hard to contain myself with all the wonderful pieces they have for sale. You did good with you lantern, love it!
