We Have A Winner!!!!

First of all I wanted to thank each and every one of you that has joined my blog!! I've been wanting to do this for so long!! It took me a long time to get my nerve up but I'm so glad I did. I've already met so many new prim friends and received so many nice emails. I appreciate everyone of you. I have had a overwhelming response and I'm so glad everyone liked the items I picked for my giveaway.

I had a total of 89 entries because a few people didn't have blogs so they emailed me their entry. I did it the old fashioned way. I put all the entries in a big prim bowl .

Then I let my son Tyler do the honors of picking the winning name.

I Did It I Reached 100 Followers!!!

Actually 114 to be exact.  WOW!!!! I can't believe  the response I have had about my giveaway. Everybody has left such sweet comments and I want you to know I read each and every one of them and appreciate them so much.  I reached 100 followers early this morning. So I will leave it open for a week to give everybody a chance to sign up. So I will pick a winner Tuesday August 31st.  I'll probably announce the winner that evening for all you girls who work outside of the home will be available. This has been so much fun I might do another one when I get 200!! Good luck everybody!!!

It's Time For A Giveaway!!

I can't believe it I've had my blog open for less that a month and I have almost 100 followers!!! I'm so thankful for everybody that has  helped me get the word out. Gen over at http://oldepearprimitives.blogspot.com/ she was so sweet to have a week long  post about me and my hand made wares. I appreciate her doing this for me.

Also Donna over at http://sweetprairiedwellings.blogspot.com/ she has been a huge help. She also did a post about me and is offering to add to the winnings. Can you believe that!!! So that means someone will receive goodies from me and some from Donna. She is always helping a new blogger or doing something thoughtful for somebody!!

Last but not least my dear friend Sarah over at http://allroadsleadhome-deeb5.blogspot.com/  told all of her followers about my new blog so I wanted to thank Gen, Donna, and Sarah for all of your encouragement and help.

I Love Cookbooks!!

I have a weakness for cookbooks every where I go I look at them!!! I have a ton of gooseberry patch, all of the Paula Deen books, of course my A Primitive Place cookbook, but now I have a few more to add to the list thanks to my friend Kim over at  http://home-is-where-the-heart-is.blogspot.com/ She talked about them in a previous post. So I headed over to eBay and I've found a few of them so far. Please go give Kim a visit she has a wonderful blog and a beautiful home.

This is the first one..it's called Goodness Gracious and the graphics and recipes are wonderful.

The second one is Keeping Good Company both books are by author Roxie Kelly and Illustrator Shelly Reeves Smith. There are two more in the series that I am still looking for.

This is my most recent eBay find Debbie Macomber's  Cedar Cove Cookbook and it is in mint condition and signed be the author!!

Summertime In South Carolina!!

I've been wanted a set of these chairs for such a long time and we finally got a set . We bought some chair pads for them and they are so comfortable.

My Hydrangeas blooms'  are the prettiest color this year!! I brought some inside  and  preserved and dried them and they are gorgeous!!!

This is my new mailbox I purchased last  Spring and I just LOVE it!

 

The plants are doing so well this year. Thank goodness.

We spend may hours out here in the  morning and in the evening if it's not to HOT. But lately it's been over 100 degrees. That's why I' m so looking forward to Fall ...for the cooler evenings.

I finally found  a very old watering can at the antique mall and I was so glad because I had been looking for a long time. Now to find a few more!!!

I decided to put my APP sign on my front porch. I think I'm going to order another one for inside my home.

This is my FAVORITE plant in the Summer..Sweet Potato Vine!! I LOVE the color.

The end of Summertime  also means BAND and FOOTBALL which my family LOVES!!! Excuse my son's  Tyler's  hair he just had practice  so it looks pretty bad!!!! It's also much shorter now. I look forward each year for the high school games to begin.

Great Birthday!!!

Last Saturday (7/31) was my birthday and  my husband had a great day planned out.  We went do dinner to my favorite Italian restaurant (Carrabba's)  with great friends of ours Janet and Donnie. We had so much fun and the food was DIVINE!!!
Now I have to tell y'all I LOVE Paula Deen!!!! I've met her and both of her son's in person and let me tell you they are the nicest people. She even sat down at the table and talked to us. I was so excited!! What you see on TV is not an act she is just as nice in person.
I have every one of her books and most of them are signed so they mean a lot to me. Well she has a new installment and it's a decorating book. It is a gorgeous book with beautiful pictures and Freddie got it for me for my birthday!!! (he knows me well)I LOVE this book!!



But that's not all. He new I was looking at a primitive display on ebay and guess what? He surprised me with it!!! Oh my goodness I just LOVE it!!! These pictures do not do this justice. The display came with everything you see here.
It came with the board, old metal water pump, wooden bowl, soap with stained cheese cloth, and sweet annie.

Summer Swap With A Friend

Sarah (All Roads Lead Home) and I have done several swaps in the past and thought it was time to do another one. So we had a fun Summer swap! These are the salt dough goodies she sent me.  Let me tell you she is so good at these and her painting is awesome. She has really mastered  making these.

These are the tulip, butterfly, and birdhouse.

Bunnies and carrots. The beeswax bunny is also from Sarah. 

 

I also added some to a big jar light that I have.

Last but not least this big watermelon slice that I absolutely fell in LOVE with. She had posted about it on her blog and I left a comment about it. She was so sweet and added that to my box of goodies!!!
